La Harpe de Melodie: the Subtle Musical Art of France

La Harpe de MelodieThe music of 14th-century France, with its intricate and beguiling melodies, is the perfect blend of medieval intellect and modern, jazzy sounds. Come enjoy one of the Consort’s most popular repertories, performed on medieval fiddle, flute, lute, citole, voice and, of course, harp! Better yet, make it a whole evening of French delights. Bistro Zinc, on State Street just blocks from the Newberry Library, will offer a special prix fixe menu for our concertgoers on Friday Oct. 26.

Listen, then dine. Dine, then listen… c’est votre choix!

Enjoy dinner designed especially for the Newberry Consort audience by our friends at Bistro Zinc before or after the concert.  Just show your concert ticket or stub, and choose from delights such as silky mushroom terrine, savory coq-au-vin, or ethereal mousse au chocolat.
