Carolina Gómez

A native of Colombia, Carolina Gómez has been singing in choirs since the age of 8. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Roosevelt University and a Master and Performance Certificate from DePaul University, all in cello performance. She studied voice under the tutelage of Winifred Brown. Her love of singing has lead her to cantor for various churches in the Chicagoland area, including Saint Clement’s church, Saint Peter’s in the Loop church, and the national Shrine of Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini. Ms. Gómez is a member of Mulati Ensemble, which is dedicated to presenting Colombian folk music with a classical spin. She holds a private cello studio out of her Portage Park home and is a teaching artist at Merry Music Makers and The Chicago Center for Music Education (ChiME).
