Renato Cerón

Renato Cerón (harp) is a multi-instrumentalist musician and a Grammy and Latin Grammy nominee recording artist, as well as an educator. He has been involved in education since 1996; he teaches music throughout the Chicago Public Schools. Renato runs the music program at Telpochcalli Elementary School, a fine arts public school in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, since 2001. He has taught Spanish at Lemont Montessori School since 2009. He has performed and lead workshops throughout the United States and is the co-founder & music director of the renowned Chicago Latin fusion group A Flor de Piel where he performs with group co-founder and wife, Marisol Cerón, as well as with other talented Chicago musicians.  In 2015, Renato Cerón became an instructor for the Chicago Mariachi Project, a Chicago-based non-profit organization whose mission is to offer quality mariachi education to children in the Chicagoland area.
